The apartment is perfectly situated in the picturesque village of La Gaulette. You'll especially love the sea views and the magnificent sunsets that Mauritius has in store for you.

On foot, you're:

• 5 minutes away from the bus stop, if you're up for an adventure - a guaranteed change of scenery!

• 5 minutes from the Liverpool snack bar, serving excellent Mauritian lunches at very affordable prices.

• 10 minutes from the supermarket and the trendy Enso bar/restaurant. The food is delightful, and local artists often perform live. The flat is conveniently close for a walk, yet far enough to avoid any noise disturbances.

• Just a stone's throw from the Fishermen's Pier, where you can purchase fresh fish for a BBQ, or embark on a boat trip to explore the Bénitiers Island and/or swim with the dolphins.

By car or taxi, you're:

• Seven minutes from kite surfing spots and five minutes from the public beach at Le Morne.

• Ten minutes from the path leading up to Le Morne Mountain - best tackled early in the morning for an unforgettable experience!

• Fifteen minutes from Chamarel (rum distillery, the seven-colored earths, Curious Corner).

• Fifteen minutes from Tamarin Bay.

• Twenty-five minutes from Casela Park, a marvelous park/zoo featuring zebras and giraffes.

Access & Welcome

You have full access to the apartment as well as a dedicated parking spot. We're delighted to welcome you to our home: make yourself at home! If you smoke, please kindly do so on the terrace or in the garden.

We are open and welcoming hosts, while respecting your privacy. Although we are not always in Mauritius, we live on the floor below during our stays on the island. If you need information or assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us by phone. We will do everything we can, whether remotely or on-site, to ensure you have the most pleasant stay.

The Neighborhood

The flat is located in a quiet and safe neighborhood, almost in the center of the village. You will be quiet while being next to everything the village has to offer.

Although the bus stop is very close, we strongly recommend renting a car if you want to go to the public beach of le morne or if you are kiting. Indeed no bus goes to these places, alas!
